About The Author
I am a leader in technology with a foundation in Computer Engineering from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a postgraduate specialization in Project Management.
My career began at the code level, where I spent several years as a mobile developer, building applications from the ground up. This hands-on experience gave me a deep appreciation for the craft of software engineering. Over time, my path evolved toward leadership, where I discovered a passion for building and guiding high-performing teams to success.
My experience spans the full spectrum of the tech landscape. I've thrived in the dynamic environment of early-stage startups, where I was responsible for entire systems, and I've navigated the complex machinery of large financial institutions, contributing as a key component in a massive, intricate system. This diverse background has given me a unique perspective on how to deliver value, regardless of scale.
My Leadership Philosophy
My approach to leadership is profoundly shaped by two unconventional but powerful experiences: my time in the Brazilian Army and my years playing competitive football. Both taught me the undeniable power of a unified team, where individual talent is amplified by collective trust and a shared mission.
This is the core of my philosophy: Team-First.
I am committed to fostering an environment built on:
Psychological Safety and Intellectual Freedom: I believe the best ideas emerge when people feel safe to think critically, challenge the status quo, and act with autonomy. My role is to create that space.
Cultural Diversity: A team with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives is not just a moral imperative—it is a strategic advantage that drives innovation and resilience.
Radical Fairness: I have a zero-tolerance policy for injustice and office politics that benefit a select few at the expense of the team. My commitment is to transparency and merit, ensuring that every voice is heard and every contribution is valued.
I am a strong advocate for mature Agile principles that empower skilled engineers, granting them the freedom and trust they need to solve complex problems. I believe in processes that enable, not processes that infantilize with superficial games and dynamics. We hire professionals, and we must treat them as such.
Why This Blog?
After years in the corporate world, I've witnessed countless instances of misunderstanding, miscommunication, and injustice that hinder both individual growth and organizational success. Great engineers become demotivated, and brilliant projects fail for reasons that have little to do with technology.
I started this blog to share my sincere, unfiltered perspective on these challenges. My hope is that by discussing these issues openly, I can contribute to a healthier, more effective, and more humane corporate environment for everyone.
